What types of professionals comprise the home health care team?
The
home health care team consists of physicians, nurses, physical, occupational, & speech therapists,
care coordinators, and home health care aides who design a plan of care based on the patients
needs. It is important to note that family members and friends also play an important role

Do Most Insurance policies cover home health care?
Generally
speaking, Medicare, Medicaid, and most private Insurance companies cover home health care.
Some policies will not cover all home health care services unless specific conditions
are met, but the staff at Advanced Senior Support will be happy to help you get answers
to all of your insurance questions prior to service. Also, Advanced Senior Support does

Does home health care have to be ordered by a physician?
Generally
speaking, yes home health care has to be prescribed by a doctor as Medicare, Medicaid, and
most other insurance companies require physician oversight. But there are times when general
assistance can be offered without the order of a physician.

What if I am currently receiving services from another agency and would like to switch?
Generally speaking, you have the right to select your own health
care agency. If you are unhappy with services you are receiving, notify your case worker or

What if I have a complaint about my home health care?
Call our
offices and ask to speak with your care coordinator. We take your concerns and complaints
very seriously and will address them immediately.
